Meet your professional safari jeep driver from your hotel for your 3.5 – 4.5 hour jeep safari tour of Wasgamuwa National Park. We expect entering the park around 6.30- 7.00 am for a morning Safari and 12.00 – 1.00p.m for a evening safari. . on a Wasgamuwa safari, you can see a wide variety of wildlife in a peaceful and less crowded environment. The park is especially known for its large herds of wild elephants, which are often seen near rivers and open grasslands. You may also spot animals like deer, monkeys, wild boar, water buffalo, and even elusive species like sloth bears and leopards, though those are rare. Bird lovers can enjoy watching over 140 species, including several that are endemic to Sri Lanka. Reptiles such as crocodiles and water monitors are commonly found near water sources. Wasgamuwa offers a rich and authentic wildlife experience, especially for those who prefer quieter safaris away from the crowds. If you are lucky, you can see a leopard or a sloth bear. When your tour is complete. Your vehicle will return you to your hotel or original departure point.
