A morning or evening in Kaudulla National Park offers an exciting opportunity to witness large herds of wild elephants, especially during the dry season (August to October) when they gather around the Kaudulla Tank. Alongside elephants, you may also spot sambar deer, wild boar, peacocks, toque macaques, and a variety of birds. .Morning safari time you can see like a 20% of elephants but if you’re lucky can see more elephants. The landscape is a mix of grasslands, forests, and wetlands, making for scenic photography and excellent wildlife viewing.
